About the activity

The KCC Football Programme has been running since 2010. It is currently run by Ally Omari and Seif Ally.
This programme started with a few students, but the number grew fast. The students are divided into two groups (under-14 team and under 17-team). There are 20 students in the under-14 squad, aged between 10 and 14. Another 20 students are in the under-17 team, aged between 15 and 17. Both teams practice every day. The under-14 team practises Monday-Friday and plays a friendly match every Saturday. The under-17 team is concentrating on hard physical training and has friendly matches twice a week. Ally keeps records on each match, writing down all the names of the players and the results.
In 2011 the under-17 team reached the semi-finals of the Copa Coca-cola Championship in Dar es Salaam. The former under-14 team reached the quarter-final stages of the Nanga Super Cup in Kigamboni.
